• First Baptist Church of Olney will hold a fall festival from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, in the church parking lot. All pre-school and elementary age children and their parents are invited to attend in non-scary costumes. The festival is free and will feature a number of booths, including a treasure hunt, ring toss, pumpkin sweep, dart throw, bean bag toss, obstacle course, a chicken launcher and more. Hot dogs and beans and cornbread will be served, and a hay ride will be available.• Olney Healthcare Center invites everyone to its 16th annual Fall Fest from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29. The event is a fun and safe fall indoor activity that includes candy, prizes, a cake walk, games, free refreshments and more. All proceeds go toward helping provide residents with a merry Christmas.
• The annual Halloween Parade sponsored by the Olney Chamber of Commerce will be held Thursday, Oct. 31.
Lineup begins at the old Olney Savings building parking lot at 5 p.m. The parade starts at 5:15 p.m., and will proceed west down Main Street to end at the downtown gazebo. First United Methodist Church of Olney will serve free hotdogs to children at the end of the parade.
