First Vice President Candy Key announced the dedication of yearbooks to the volunteer fire departments of Archer City, Olney, Newcastle and Throckmorton. Stressing the value and importance of these volunteers, she read a poem "What is a Fireman?" and discussed the origin of the Maltese cross, a symbol of firefighters. Candy Key then presented a framed picture and yearbook to representatives of the fire departments: Pooch Williams, Teresa Jones and Mayor Steve Sosinski of Newcastle; Ted Scobee and Homer Molina of Olney; and Ray Fowler of Throckmorton. After a prayer by Woolley, members and guests enjoyed a salad luncheon.
