RAINY DAY – A low pressure system sat on top of North Texas all day Monday, July 15, and Tuesday, July 16, bringing much needed moisture and unseasonably cool temperatures to Olney. Monday’s high temperature barely rose above 70 degrees as intermittent rain fell on the city. Heavier rain fell Monday evening, all day Tuesday and Wednesday morning, with nearly 3 inches recorded around the city by press time. Though the area was under a Flash Flood Watch for most of the day Monday and Tuesday, no major localized flooding was experienced.                (Photo by Mindi Kimbro)
