After a big first inning put Poolville in the lead, the Cubs had a lot of work to do to catch up in their final district game on Friday, April 26. With a lot of hard work, the Cubs got within one of Poolville before falling short in an 11-10 loss.

Poolville scored five runs in the first inning and two in the second, while Olney added just one in the first. In the first, Adam Gipson had an inside-the-park home run to put Olney on the board.

Olney was scoreless in the second, then posted two more runs in the third. Olney added one more in the fourth and two in the fifth while keeping Poolville scoreless to trail by just one point, 7-6. 

In the sixth inning, the Cubs scored four while Poolville matched them point-for-point to get the victory.

Gipson led the team at the plate with a home run and a single. Tye Green had a single and a double, while Drew McVicker also had a double. Daven Lough smacked a single in the fourth inning, and Austin Whitsitt smashed a triple. 

Dylan Hudson also had a single for the Cubs, as did Zack Ballard.
