Six OHS athletes will compete in the regional track meet this weekend following top performances at the area meet at Munday on Thursday, April 18. 

The top four places in each event at area earned the right to advance to regionals.

Mike Clark advanced in the 800 meter run and the 1,600  meter run, and Ross Mullins will represent the Cubs in the 400 meter dash. Keeley Rollings advanced for the Lady Cubs in the 800 meter run, Farren Garcia will compete in the 100 meter dash, Claire Craig won the pole vault and Kimberly Keeter will compete in the shot put.

As a team, the Lady Cubs finished eighth overall and the Cubs were seventh.

200 Meter Dash – Garcia, fifth, 28.67.

800 Meter Run – Clark, fourth, 2:10.10.

110 Meter Hurdles – Joe Tatum, sixth, 18.87.

800 Meter Relay – Ballard, Tracey Jones, Daven Lough, Thomas, fifth, 1:39.99.

400 Meter Dash – Mullins, third, 53.36.

1,600 Meter Run – Clark, third, 5:12.69.

1,600 Meter Relay – Ballard, Clark, Mullins, Thomas, sixth, 3:50.60.

The regional track meet will be held Friday and Saturday, April 26-27, in Abilene.
