FFA teams qualify for state contest

This year, the Olney FFA has competed well in Career Development competitions, competing against 99 schools in the local area and 19 others at district competition on April 10.

The Farm Business Management team is advancing to state, placing first in district and fourth in the area competition. In the team, Ellie Hinson (senior) placed first individually in the district and fifth at area competition. Morgan Simmons (sophomore) placed second individually in district and seventh at area individually. Luke Lane (sophomore) placed third individually at district and Eva Ekberg (senior) placed fourth at district.

The Land team is also advancing to state, placing second in the district and ninth in the area. Ariel Ramirez (sophomore) placed fourth at district, Marlee Lane (freshman) placed fifth at district, Caden Lane (sophomore) placed sixth at district, and Brady Lisle (senior) placed eighth at district.

The Floriculture team placed fourth in district, with Nataley Kelly (senior) placing eighth at district, and Tyana Kinney and Jordan Petty also competing.

State Land competition is on April 25, and Farm Business Management is the day after.
