Cubs, Lady Cubs dominate golf tournament

The Olney boys golf team and individuals from the girls team competed in the district golf tournament held in Nocona April 1 and April 4, with the boy’s team winning the district title and individuals from the girls team advancing to the regional tournament.

For the boys team, junior Caleb Johnson shot 80 points on the first day and on the second day he shot 77 points, placing third medalist.

On the first day, sophomore Brason Brock shot 78 points, and on the second day, he shot 84 points.

On the first day, senior Brady Lisle shot 89 points, and on the second day, he shot 80 points.

On the first day, freshman Case Gray shot 89 points and on the second day he shot 79 points. On the first day, freshman Ryder Lisle shot 88 points, and on the second day, he shot 101 points.

In individual boy’s’ scores, sophomore Luke Lane shot 103 points on the first day, and on the second day, he shot 95 points. On the first day sophomore Payton Hembree shot 115 points, and on the second day, he shot 125 points.

On the first day, freshman Colby Johnson shot 118 points, and on the second day, he shot 107 points.

In individual girl’s scores, senior Ellie Hinson shot 88 points, and on the second day, she shot 92 points, earning her the first-place medal and advancement to regional competition. On the first day, freshman Marlee Lane shot 98 points, and on the second day, she shot 96 points, earning her the second-place medal and advancement to regional competition.
