What am I proud about? My little town named Olney. Why am I proud of my community? Because the way the people of Olney have pulled together to help support one another in this time of crisis.

A week or so ago I wrote about listening. Now I will talk about well, talking. In some ways talking is so much harder to do than listening. You could pull off listening just by being quite and patient. Most just want a sounding board or to vent anyway.
During this political season, I hear many things about what is wrong with America. While I realize things are not perfect, I am perfectly content with my country.
On this day, March 12 in 1912 in the middle of the Progressive Era, Juliette Gordon Low started An organization to help prepare girls to “meet their world with courage, confidence and character.” With 18 girls in Savannah, GA and the intention to share the knowledge she learned abroad, Low founded Girl Scouts—which was the beginning of a worldwide movement.
